Scents of a Woman
If your idea of a long weekend holiday isn’t packing up and heading for the hills, then you are exceptionally wise. In our family, trips with children were saved for non-holiday weekends. However, now that our boys are almost grown, we could manage to explore a bit since we are just a hop, skip and a jump away from so many beautiful spots. It’s tempting yes, but nevertheless, I’m an easy to please woman with bills to pay and teenagers to keep an eye on. I’ve also been waiting for the opportunity to create my own backyard oasis, inspired by Pinterest of course. I’ll choose a few recipes from my Healthy Eats and Oh So Indulgent pinboards to make it even, and top it off with a pitcher of watermelon margaritas, a good book or a pile of magazines, throw on a comfortable but stylish ensemble, and kick off my sandals. A spritz of Joe Malone Orange Blossom in my hair will be the perfect finish. I envision escaping for one more night to my oasis. This time with hair and makeup tastefully done, Bvlgari Omnia Coral on my skin, a maxi, sandals and a throw blanket, with tapas and wine or sangria for us to enjoy, relaxing by the outdoor fireplace. It’ll be perfect.

Bronzing Duo SPF 15 Mineral Powder Compact
I have two easy ways to go from dull to an instant summer glow this weekend. Even if you haven’t been able to kick start your get away trips with a marvelous weekend in the sun, I have the solution. The bronzer is subtle, easy to blend and gives a natural and radiant complexion with a few strokes of a brush. If you tend to shy away from bronzer, don’t worry…zero fake orange tan here.
Shades come in light, medium and dark. Start by sweeping your brush across the lighter shade, moving to the darker shade. Apply to your cheekbone and move down to the sides of your face for contour. Then lightly dust your forehead, nose and chin for an overall glow. The lighter side is matte and the darker shade has a brilliant shimmer giving you a nice sheen without being too shimmery. The texture is very smooth. You won’t find excess on your brush and around the compact. The key ingredients are white tea extract, crowberry and Vitamin E to fight off free radicals, and mineral based titanium dioxide, which provides UVA/UVB protection. Skip the blush for daytime. For an evening out, you can either layer this on, or add more color by lightly applying your favorite shade of blush to just the balls of your cheeks while smiling. Here comes the sun!
Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balm
When it comes to lipstick, I am easily swayed by the latest concepts. My first glance at these lipsticks made me curious as to what exactly Clarins had come up with. It was some sort of balm with lipstick in the middle. Basically, it’s a gloss and lipstick duo with incredibly beautiful sheer color and shine. My hand served as color swatches for the 4 colors. Under the light I could tell that all 4 colors would compliment a number of different complexions. I picked the Crystal Coral to try on. I immediately came alive with a glowing smile. It was a no brainer to buy it of course. I can toss the lower quality glosses I’ve been using. I wore Crystal Coral today and my lips feel smoother already. As I’ve said before, I’m a sucker for a product that delivers bolder, smoother, fuller lips. What can I say…simply gorgeous! I bought this at Nordstrom for $24.50
